When do I receive my payouts?

By default, your payouts are set to daily. If you don’t want to receive daily payouts, you also have the option to receive them on a weekly or monthly basis.

With daily payouts, your money will appear in your Business Account the next day at 7am – even on weekends and bank holidays. You can then spend or withdraw your money using your complementary Mastercard. If you prefer, you can opt to receive payouts directly to any other bank account, with funds arriving within 1-2 business days.

How do I take card payments with the Solo card reader?

Processing credit card payments with Solo couldn’t be easier. Accept credit card payments with ease by following these simple steps: • Turn your Solo on with the power button on the right side. • Enter the charge amount (minimum €1.00) and tap “Charge”. Before tapping “Charge”, you can tap “Add description” to include a product description so you can identify the transaction more easily later. • Customers will have the option to tip if you enable tipping. Select a tip or add a custom amount and tap "Pay" to continue. Remove any selected tip with "Reset tip". • When “Please tap” appears on the screen, prompt your customer to pay by either: • Tapping their contactless card or device on Solo’s screen • Inserting their chip card into the slot on top of Solo

Get started with your payment terminal in minutes. Here’s our guide on how to do just that: • First up, turn Solo on with the On/Off switch on its right side. It’s the button that looks like the SumUp logo. • Tap the drop-down menu to select your preferred language from the menu and hit “Let's start”. • Log in to your SumUp profile. • You'll be redirected to your Wi-Fi settings so you can connect Solo to a Wi-Fi network. Then you'll be prompted to install any available updates.

SumUp keeps pricing simple and transparent. You either have the choice to pay as you go or sign up for our cost-saving Payments Plus plan.

With the pay-as-you-go plan, there’s no monthly cost – you just pay 1.69% per transaction for card reader payments. This is perfect if your sales vary through the year and you want full flexibility with no monthly cost.

If you’re making more than €3,300 per month in payments, you can save on transaction fees by signing up for the Payments Plus plan. It costs £19 per month and reduces your transaction fee to 0.95% for domestic consumer cards. Online payments have a 1.69% fee, and in-person payments with non-EU or corporate cards (including AMEX) have a 1.69% fee. These rates apply to both the pay-as-you go option and the Payments Plus plan.
